American Society of Media Photographers Nationwide photo contest

headerImage10 is a nationwide photo contest run by the New York chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers and open to all professional, serious amateur and student photographers residing in the United States. Contestants are asked to submit one or more images that were created after January 1, 2009. The deadline for entry submissions is May 1, 2010.

Eligibility: Promotion is open only to legal residents of the United States who are part time or full time students, serious amateur or professional photographers. Serious amateur photographers should enter in the professional category. Current and recent (within the past year) members of the ASMPNY Board or Level 2 are not eligible. Void outside the 50 United States and D.C., and where prohibited by law.

ASMP Members: $25(Professional) $15(Student)
Non-members: $35(Professional) $25(Student)

Prizes: Two (2) First Place prizes (one from the Student Category and one from the Professional Category) including of a half-page publication of the winning Image in the Photo District News (layout to be designed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion); publication of the winning Image in a promotional mailer to be sent to 2000 art directors, art buyers and photo editors in New York and other major cities throughout the U.S. (the “Promotional Mailer”); an exhibition of the winning Image in a New York gallery (choice of gallery and time period of exhibition to be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor); __Two (2) Second Prizes (one from the Student Category and one from the Professional Category) including of publication of the winning Image in the Promotional Mailer; an exhibition of the winning Image in a New York gallery, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor (choice of gallery and time period of exhibition to be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor). Two (2) Third Prizes (one from the Student Category and one from the Professional Category) including of publication of the winning Image in the Promotional Mailer; an exhibition of the winning Image in a New York gallery (choice of gallery and time period of exhibition to be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor). Ten (10) Honorable Mention Prizes (five from the Student Category and five from the Professional Category) consisting of an exhibition of the winning Image in a New York gallery (choice of gallery and time period of exhibition to be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor). Five Judges Choice Prizes consisting of an exhibition of the winning Image in a New York gallery (choice of gallery and time period of exhibition to be in the sole discretion of the Sponsor). Judges Choice winners may be winners in other categories. Judges are not prohibited from picking one of the winning images as their personal favorite. No cash redemptions. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions will be allowed, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value if prize is unavailable. Winners will be notified by mail and/or telephone on or about June 15th, 2010. Prizes must be claimed by the winners within 60 days of notification. All prizes not claimed within the 60 days will revert back to the ASMPNY board for re-distribution and may be raffled off at ASMPNY’s holiday party or other events or distributed or used otherwise at the discretion of the board of ASMPNY.

Copyright: By entering, all entrants agree to grant the Sponsor the right to use their Images on Sponsor’s web site(s) and in any publicity or promotions for future Sponsor photo competitions.
